Wings Over Halls, Arnold Field, Halls, TN

This air show features the planes that contributed to the Allied Forces victory in World War II along with a few entertaining stunt pilots.  It is held annually in mid-August at the former Dyersburg  Army Air Training Station which helped train our B-17 pilots during the 1940's.

Also featured at the present day Arnold Field Airport is a nicely appointed Veterans Museum which contains displays from the WWII era.  Both military and civilian life are represented in their exhibits.

The following pictures from the 2014 show will provide a taste of the exciting planes available for inspection by the public before the show and as well as the awe-inspiring performances of these dedicated reenactors.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to sit in a jet cockpit or take a ride in a P-51 Mustang or B-17 Bomber, plan your next vacation to include the Wings Over Halls Air Show near Dyersburg, TN

The Tennessee Brewery in Memphis

This historic building in Memphis' South Main Historic District is currently scheduled for demolition in the fall of 2014. Several volunteer organizations have pooled their resources in an effort to convince developers that "Countless Hopsibilities" exist for this architectural delight.

Although access to the upstairs is currently restricted, these photos provide a glimpse of the historic building and illustrate the success of one possibility as The Tennessee Brewery Untapped kicks off a summer of fun and protests the demolition of this unique site, while providing a cozy venue for live entertainment and winning fans of all ages.
